Happy Holidays from the Kitchen Staff!
We are introducing our Winter menu for 2018-2019 with a few new recipes and a couple of old favorites.
One thing we will be working on is to have wonderful potato Latkes for breakfast with scrambled eggs, sour cream and apples. Here is an easy recipe that substitutes frozen hash brown potatoes for the traditional raw and water rinsed russet potatoes.
1lb frozen shredded potatoes, thawed
1/2 medium onion, grated
1 1/2 Tbs flour
1 Tbs dried or fresh chives
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs, (whisked)
Drop spoon-fulls into a sauté pan with hot olive oil and fry golden brown on both sides.
Serve with sliced apples and sour cream.
