Who’s Who at Primrose
At Primrose, we are sensitive to the fact that this is a new and emotional experience for you. Undoubtedly, you will encounter situations about which you will want to ask questions, make suggestions, or voice concerns. We recognize that good communication is key component of providing quality services and encourage it.
To assist in the communication process, we’ve provided a list of the management team at Primrose. The brief descriptions of our duties will assist you in determining from whom you might best obtain an answer to your particular question(s). For those who find it more convenient to communicate by email, we have included our email addresses.
Please never hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns. The more we both know about each other, the better we can do for you.

LARRY POTTER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Larry coordinates all departments to insure each department is in alignment with goals,
budget guidelines, and resident needs. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations
of Primrose. Larry is also available to discuss any issues or questions you may have
concerning the operation of Primrose during business hours 8:30a.m-5:00p.m.

KIM WINTERS, BSD, M. Ed, COMMUNITY EDUCATION DIRECTOR

Kim is the Community Education Director/Family Services Director. She is responsible
for developing educational modules to share with the community, as well as supportive
groups for the community as outreach. She is also responsible for the social support
to our families and residents here at Primrose. Usual hours are Monday thru Friday
8:30AM – 5:00PM.

LORINE GALES, LVN, WELLNESS DIRECTOR

Lorine is the direct supervisor of our resident assistants, who provide daily care (baths, meals, etc)
to residents. She coordinates the nursing and medical aspects of resident care by working with all
of the Primrose departments and the medical community. Lorine works hand-in-hand with all
staff to assure that the total needs of our residents are being met. The nursing department generally
works during normal business hours 8:30 to 5:00.

CATHERINE HENNAN, BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER

Catherine supervises the receptionists, provides support to all department heads,
organizes office procedures/human resources, and generates the monthly invoice
statements. She also composes the Primrose newsletter, Primrose Press, published
monthly. Catherine also assists families through the complete move in process,
beginning with inquiry and ending with move-in. Catherine’s hours are Monday-Friday
from 7:15AM – 3:30PM.

CASEY SIMON, MARKETING DIRECTOR

Casey assists families through the complete move in process, beginning with inquiry, and
ending with move in. During that process, she will generally be the person who presents to
you all of the information covered within this Handbook. She is normally on duty from
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weekdays and by appointment on weekends.

STACY SWIESS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Stacy represents Primrose Sacramento to the regional network of dementia services, agencies, and providers.
She may also assist families through the complete move in process, beginning with inquiry and ending with move
in. Stacy is normally on duty from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, weekdays and by appointment on the weekends.

KEN HOSODA, PLANT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Ken is responsible for keeping Primrose beautiful and functional. He takes great pride
in maintaining the picturesque garden setting and spacious courtyard surroundings at Primrose.
In addition to the grounds, Ken directs the maintenance and housekeeping teams. His hours are
from Monday –Friday approximately from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and sometimes on the weekend mornings.

JENNIFER KAZANJIAN, FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR

Jennifer is responsible for the food service program and the catering services at Primrose.
She heads the team of chefs that produce the meals for the residents and visitors. She also
coordinates the staff to produce a pleasant dining experience. Ask her about nutrition, dining,
and dietary concerns.

KATHLEEN HUBER, DAY CLUB/PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Kathleen is responsible for the daily management of the Primrose Day Club (an adult day
service for persons experiencing memory loss), as well as the Residential Program. She
provides quality programming to persons with dementia in order to extend their independence
and quality of life, as well as to give family care-givers a break from their overwhelming
responsibilities. Kathleen is also responsible for planning and conducting the leisure
activities for the residential program. She will encourage your resident to make new
friends, sing songs, and go for leisurely walks. Kathleen’s hours are from Monday - Friday,
normally from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

WILLIAM AU, MD, CONSULTING PHYSICIAN
Dr. Au is the consulting physician for Primrose and specializes in Alzheimer’s and Dementia:
Dr. William Au is a Board Certified Neurologist whose practice sees many Alzheimer’s and related
dementia residents. Dr. Au is also a faculty member at the University of California, Davis
Medical School, a clinical researcher and Director at the Sutter Neuroscience Institute.
